Linus Torvalds

Linus is one of the most famous figures in the world of computers. Men born in Finland is a software engineer and hacker who became an important figure in the development of the open source Linux operating system.

After learning about the university Unix, Linus began a Linux pioneer. Since the publication of the code of Linux in 1991, are now millions of people who use it.

Linus later became the chief architect of Linux kernel, and now acts as the project coordinator. Thanks to the success of Linux, Linus also get a variety of awards.

Linus won the Millennium Technology Prize by the Technology Academy Finland in 2012. He scored a great contribution for the development of a new open source operating system for computers, which sparked widespread use of the Linux kernel.
