Brian Beflendorf is one of an important figure in the open source software movement. He is the primary developer of the Apache Web server, the most popular web server software on the Internet.

Brian is also listed as one of the founders of the Apache Group, which later became the Apache Software Foundation. In addition, Brian never be a member of the leadership board of the Mozilla Foundation.

Apache HTTP Server itself plays an important role in the initial growth of the World Wide Web. in 2009, he became the first web server software surpassed 100 million websites.

Typically, Apache running on the Unix operating system and developed for use in Linux. But now also available on other operating systems, including OS X and Windows.
