Washington - Microsoft seems to be the harder sell Windows 8. Sales continue to grow. Microsoft claims more than 100 million licenses sold of Windows 8.

"If there are more touch-screen devices on the market, the numbers could be even more. Sale we continue to grow consistently," said Tami Reller, Chief Financial Officer in the Microsoft Windows Client Team, as quoted from ZDNet, Tuesday (05/07/2013 ).

Microsoft successfully sold more than 40 million copies of Windows 8 in the first month since its release. Microsoft's latest operating system fairly quickly adapted by the user.

"Windows 8 over Windows 7 upgrade to business," claims Microsoft spokesman Brandon LeBlanc through the Windows blog at that time.

The next achievement, on January 8, 2013, the figure grew to 60 million licenses. This of course adds to the optimism Microsoft on Windows 8 in the future.

The figures include the upgrade of Windows 7 and the new installation. It also includes the sale of manufacturing licenses and tablet PCs in bulk. Microsoft did not comment on how sales compared to upgrading new installations. The software company also does not specify the portion of the Windows RT and Windows 8 in total license sales.
