Google Patented 'Ugly Face' As Password

Written By Blog Walker on Jun 7, 2013 | 6/07/2013

San Francisco - Google has a new way to tighten the security of the device. If previously existing features Face Unlock, Google has now patented the latest unlock method, which displays the ugly face.

Quoted from TechRadar, Friday (06/07/2013), this time the patent unlock feature requires users to stick my tongue out, raise an eyebrow or style other ugly face in front of the camera, to be able to use these devices.

Face Unlock feature is present in the first Android Ice Cream Sandwich. In Android Jelly Bean, this feature must be updated with the addition of 'blinking eye'. Because the device can still be fooled by the way, to show the user's photo in front of the camera.

Google is actually not the only company to register a patent similar technology. Apple was said to have first registered similar technologies since December 2011.

But the difference, the Apple technology that has been registered with the name 'face and presence detection' plan to apply it on a smartphone but not in its MacBook devices.
